Men’s Wool Chitrali Cap | Pakol

Tradition Woven, Heritage Worn

For generations, the Pure Wool Chitrali Cap, also called Kaporh or Pakorh, has been more than a hat—it is a symbol of mountain pride, cultural identity, and timeless craftsmanship. Handcrafted from pure, natural sheep wool in the remote valleys of Chitral, our Chitrali cap carries within it centuries of tradition and the skilled hands that have perfected this craft. Each cap is a bridge between heritage and the modern man who values authenticity.

Born in the Mountains, Crafted with Care

Every Folktisan Chitrali cap begins with 100% pure, natural sheep wool sourced from high-altitude mountain pastures. The wool is handspun, then meticulously woven into the traditional rolled form that defines this iconic headwear. There are no shortcuts—only patient hands, generations of knowledge, and an unwavering commitment to quality. The result is a cap that breathes with your movement, insulates against mountain cold, and grows more comfortable with time.

Timeless Design, Versatile Wear

The distinctive rolled brim and gently rounded crown aren’t just aesthetic—they’re practical genius. Roll it down in winter to shield your ears and neck from harsh mountain winds. Roll it up in milder weather for a lighter, more casual look. Wear it with your traditional shalwar-kameez for cultural authenticity, or pair it with modern attire for a fusion that speaks to Pakistani pride. This is headwear that adapts to you.

A Natural Palette, Authentic Colors

Available in earthy, natural tones, each color reflects the mountains from which it came. We use no synthetic dyes or chemical treatments; our wool retains its natural beauty and breathability. What you see is what nature provided, enhanced only by time-honored craftmanship.

Ethically Sourced, Fairly Traded

This cap directly connects you to Chitrali artisans and their families. Fair wages ensure dignity and sustainability for the hands that create it. With every purchase, you support traditional livelihoods, preserve ancient weaving knowledge, and contribute to a community that has maintained this craft for centuries. Wear it knowing you are part of something larger than fashion—you’re part of cultural preservation.

Comfort Meets Conscience

The inner lining provides soft comfort against your skin, while the natural elasticity of hand-rolled wool allows for adjustable fit. Whether you’re navigating mountain terrain, attending a cultural gathering, or simply making a statement about where you stand—this cap delivers warmth, comfort, and undeniable style. Every fiber carries the essence of Chitral’s peaks and the dedication of its artisans.
